What Narraya is
Narraya is a multilingual SaaS platform (six languages supported) giving writers a rich TipTap editor, toggle-based AI analysis (style, dialogue, rhythm, character development, originality, show-don't-tell and other narrative aspects), character management with relationship graph and arc tracking, kanban for chapter organisation, a writing coach with streaks and goals, and a beta grammar check. Everything is web-based: no install required.
Why Narraya exists
General-purpose tools — Grammarly for grammar, ChatGPT for chat, Notion for organisation — don't really understand how a novel works. They miss that a side character in chapter 3 may become the antagonist by chapter 12. They can't tell the difference between a passive sentence acceptable in dialogue and a weak passive in an action scene. Narraya starts from the opposite premise: AI must be trained on editorial craft, not on schoolbook grammar. Every analysis is shaped for a writer, not a copywriter or a student.

Founder & developer
Marco is the founder and sole developer of Narraya. The project started in early 2025 from a concrete need: a literary editor that understood long-form fiction, after years of frustration with generic tools and static editing checklists. The philosophy: no marketing fluff, no "revolutionary AI", no bestseller promises. Just concrete tools that save time for serious writers.
What makes Narraya different
vs Grammarly / LanguageTool
Grammarly does generic grammar correction and flags formal errors. Narraya does deep narrative analysis: character arcs, scene rhythm, cross-chapter consistency, show-don't-tell. Narraya's grammar check is a feature, not the main product.
vs ProWritingAid
ProWritingAid offers desktop-mode style stats. Narraya is web-native, multi-language, with modern generative AI (Gemini, Ollama) and tuned for long-form fiction. The stats are there, but they drive actionable suggestions instead of static reports.
vs Scrivener / Ulysses
Scrivener is a manuscript organiser without AI. Narraya combines organisation (kanban + chapters + characters) and AI editing in a single web workspace. No files to sync, no manual backups.
vs generic ChatGPT / Claude
ChatGPT lacks book-level narrative memory, doesn't structure characters, doesn't track cross-chapter consistency. Narraya builds a persistent narrative state: the AI knows who each character is, how they've changed, who they're in conflict with. Every analysis starts from that context.
